THE HEADACHE CLINIC

The Headache Clinic is Owned and Operated by Kimberly Rao, FNP-BC, AHQ.  She is in collaboration with a local primary care physician. Kimberly has been a nurse for over 3 decades with half of those years as a Nurse Practitioner in Neurology.  She received her Bachelor's Degree in 1994 from the University of Louisiana in Monroe, La.  She spent the majority of her nursing career in the hospital setting.  She later received her Master's Degree in Nursing at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La.  She worked in a busy Neurology clinic where most of her time was spent seeing and treating migraine patients.  She started an infusion center at this clinic and was ablet to offer more options for those patients seeking care.  Kimberly is a migrainer herself and this is what encouraged her to pursue her passion of helping the migraine community.  In 2019, she decided to open her own clinic solely focusing on the migraine population.  She has more than 10 years experience in migraine treatments including; conservative treatment, acute and chronic treatment, Botox injections, CGRPs and IV infusions.  She has also received Added Qualification in Headache Medicine from the National Headache Foundation.  She is a member of the Headache Society.  She is a speaker for several of the newer migraine medications. She has also received additional training and certification in both cosmetic Botox and Filler.
